Introduction
Did you ever wrestled with a problem that didn't exist? The Galatians were wrestling with a problem that had already been solved! What was the problem? The problem was, What do we do with the Law! The Law was never meant to redeem mankind. Works were never meant to redeem mankind. Religions were never meant to redeem mankind. What was the purpose of the Law? The Law is a spiritual compass that constantly points to Calvary - to the Perfect Man!
Paul has told us Who came - God's Son
Paul has told us When He came - in the fullness of time
Paul has told us How He came - born of woman
Paul has told us Why He came - to redeem
What do we need to know about God's Timing?
I. The Perfect Man was Born at the Perfect Time!
A. It was the right time Politically
Jesus came at a time when people were open to new ideas. Also, the Roman Peace had opened up travel so that the Gospel could spread very quickly. In addition, the use of the Greek language was widespread and that made the Gospel easy to convey in word and in print.
B. It was the right time Spiritually
People were hungry for meaning. The spiritual atmosphere was ripe for the message of Christ.
C. It was the right time Scripturally
God kept His Word, as He always does. Prophecies were being fulfilled at just the right time. God is never late, never early, but always on time!
II. The Perfect Man Died at the Perfect Time!
A. Throughout His Ministry people tried to kill Him
John 7:30 says, "At this they tried to seize him, but no one laid a hand on him, because his time had not yet come."
B. Throughout His Ministry Jesus waited on Calvary
John 13:1 says, "It was just before the Passover Feast, Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father."
C. Throughout His Ministry Jesus waited on the Resurrection
Matthew 20:19 says, "They will condemn him to death and will turn him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified. On the third day he will be raised to life!"
III. The Perfect Man will Return at the Perfect Time!
A. We do not know the Time of His Return
Matthew 24:36 says, "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father."
B. It will be at a Time we Least Expect
Luke 12:40 says, "You also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour when you do not expect him."
IV. The Perfect Time to Come to the Perfect Man is RIGHT NOW!
By faith you can invite Him into your heart RIGHT NOW.
